Travel PACU RN - $2,020 per week

About the Role

Registered Nurse – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a travel nursing position. Start date: 9/21/2026. Duration: 18 weeks. 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
• Rotate through PreOp, PACU Phase 1, and PACU Phase 2 areas
• Manage patient ratios: Pre-op 1:3 or 1:4 (depending on acuity), Phase 1 1:2, Phase 2 1:4
• Float throughout the unit as needed (Preop, PACU - Phase 1 and Phase 2)
• Work with surgical case types including GYN, General Robotics (Bariatric, Prostate, Hernia, Gallbladder, Hysterectomy), Urology, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Podiatry, Plastics, Cataracts, ENT, and ENDO (Colon, EGD, ERCP, Bronchoscopy)
• Use Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Must have preop and PACU Phase 1 and Phase 2 experience (please provide a list of which hospitals and how often preop experience)
• Accepting travelers with 1 year of experience
• Willing to float between Preop, PACU Phase 1, and Phase 2
• Available for weekend rotation: Friday night and weekend call approximately every 8-10 weekends
• Flexible shift times based on need
• RTO requires manager approval

Pay

Pay rate: $1969.00 – $2070.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipend amount to be determined).
