Travel PACU RN - $1,890 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position in Somerset, Kentucky. This is an immediate 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post‑operative patients recovering from surgical anesthesia.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report changes to the physician.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient’s condition.
• Determine when patients are ready to be transferred to a room.
• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capable of bending, leaning, and stooping without difficulty.
• Routine lifting of up to 20 pounds; patient moving may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong stress‑coping skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
