About the role
The travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care is needed for a 13-week assignment starting August 31, 2026, in San Marcos, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (AHA only).
- RN License in the state of Texas or compact required.
- Critical Care, PreOp, and EPIC experience highly recommended/preferred.

Pay & Benefits
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
