About the role
Join our dynamic team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a 18-bed Critical Care unit. You will provide essential care for patients recovering from anesthesia, including those requiring stepdown and ICU boarding services in a Level 1 and Stroke Certified Health System. This role may involve floating to various locations, including Interventional Radiology and the Main Aron 4 PACU.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-operative care for patients, including vented patients, A-lines, chest tubes, mid lines, stroke, and neurosurgery cases.
- Ensure safety and appropriateness of patient care in a team-oriented environment.
- Maintain an average of 30-45 cases per day effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PACU, ICU, Critical Care, or Emergency Room settings.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a New York State RN License.
- Certifications required: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Critical care training is necessary, with comfort in managing ventilated patients and other critical interventions.

Pay
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
This position requires four 9.5-hour shifts per week, typically from 0900 to 1930 hours. Weekend shifts are expected, usually every other weekend.
