Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $2,745 per week

About the role

The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a PACU position. This role involves providing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative, Post-operative, Endoscopy, and Infusion services. The nurse will work a 4-day schedule of 10-hour shifts with a shared on-call rotation, supporting outpatient surgical and procedural areas.

Responsibilities

• Providing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative, Post-operative, Endoscopy, and Infusion services.
• Nursing care duties across outpatient services including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic, and hospital needs of conscious sedation for special procedures.
• Using nursing assessment skills to include peri-operative education and care.
• Recognizing post anesthesia and post-operative complications.
• Floating to the entire Outpatient Services area that includes Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic, and hospital needs of conscious sedation for special procedures is required.

Requirements

• Active nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in SSSU (Same Day Surgery/ Short Stay Surgery Unit), PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), Pre, or Post-anesthesia care.
• Certification as required by state regulations.
