About the role

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position located in a diverse outpatient surgery center. This role includes caring for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics following various same-day procedures, with an emphasis on airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain control. The successful candidate will be adaptable, able to float to different units within the organization, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Schedule

• Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients following same-day procedures, focusing on airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain control
• Float to different units within the organization as needed

Requirements

• California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 3 years in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Experience with airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management
• Ability to work in preoperative and extended care units
• References must be in hand at time of submission

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN)
• 2 years of critical care experience

Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS

• Orientation hours total 40
• Resources may be reassigned to different departments, units, or facilities within a 75+ mile radius during the assignment if staffing needs require
• All travel, out-of-state, or float requirements are subject to approval per organizational policy

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
