Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $2,490 per week

About the role

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in the area is responsible for performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia, providing health teaching and counseling, and supporting patient recovery through therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia
• Provide health teaching and counseling to patients
• Support patient recovery through therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being
• Float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications as required
• Be placed on-call during scheduled shifts as required
• Use resources effectively
• Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Certification as appropriate for the unit or service
• Previous experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit setting
• Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred

Schedule

• Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
