Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $2,415 per week

Job Summary

This position is for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse at a healthcare facility located in Morgantown, West Virginia. The role involves providing specialized care to adult and pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia after various surgical procedures. The shift includes rotating days primarily scheduled from 8:00 AM, with potential rotation to weekends and night shifts as needed. The candidate will support fast-paced clinical operations in a busy PACU environment with a focus on patient recovery and safety.

Schedule

• Rotating; primarily M-F dayshift with a start time of 8:00 AM
• May rotate to weekends and night shift as needed
• Minimum of 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid license to submit
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• At least 2 years of PACU experience required, including prior experience with ICU patients and EMR system EPIC

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior PACU experience with Level 1 trauma

Additional Information

• Unit has 20 PACU beds, 24 Phase II bays, and staff rotate throughout Pre-op, PACU, Phase II, and border areas
• Patient ratios: Pre-op 1:3, PACU 1:2, Phase II 1:3
• Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, etc., required; ICU patient recovery in PACU possible depending on throughput and capacity
• Scrub color/dress code: hospital scrubs
• Orientation includes 1-day each for Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II
• Call response time: 1 hour
• May work a holiday shift and holiday call shift per season

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
