Job Summary
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse is located in Silver City, New Mexico. This position involves providing safe and effective patient care in the perioperative setting, specifically within the post-anesthesia recovery unit. The nurse must demonstrate the ability to work in both pre-operative and post-anesthesia care settings, maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday; Day shift varied hours with some on-call, totaling approximately 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Two years previous related nursing experience
- Current New Mexico or multi-state RN license
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire
- ACLS (AHA) required upon hire
- PALS (AHA) required upon hire
Additional Information
- Float rotation may be required
- The position may involve working in both pre-op and PACU patient care settings
- Candidates should be prepared to take on-call as scheduled
- This role is intended for contractor replacement
