About the role

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position located in Silver City, New Mexico. This role involves assessing, planning, and delivering safe perioperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in the PACU setting, be available for scheduled on-call shifts, and provide comprehensive care. Flexibility to float to other units if necessary is required. The role is a replacement of permanent staff to support ongoing patient care needs.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts; Monday-Friday
• Day shift with varied hours and on-call responsibilities
• Minimum of 40 hours per week
• 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver safe perioperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia
• Work effectively in the PACU setting
• Be available for scheduled on-call shifts
• Float to other units if necessary

Requirements

• Valid New Mexico or multi-state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA) certification upon hire
• No minimum years of experience required
• Two years of related nursing experience preferred
