Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $2,340 per week

Job Summary

The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) nurse position is located in ROCK SPRINGS, Wyoming. The role involves providing specialized care for patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. The position requires adherence to facility-specific protocols and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with days scheduled from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. One night call shift and one weekend per month are required.

Required Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Valid nursing license in the state of Wyoming
• At least 1 year of experience in post-anesthesia care or critical care
• Certifications required: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), all from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cerner charting system

Additional Information

• Local candidate restrictions: client does not accept local candidates and has a 50-mile radius restriction
• Call-off policy: client may cancel or call off up to 24 hours prior to the shift
• Equipment used: EMR charting, vitals signs machine, Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, and Pyxis medication system
• Training: approximately three days of one-on-one onboarding with a PACU nurse before working independently within the department

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
