PACU RN Post Anesthesia Care Unit

The organization is seeking a registered nurse specialized in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to support high-acuity, high-volume recovery care. This role involves managing patients after various surgeries, including vascular, general, thoracic, gynecology, neuro, orthopedic, kidney transplants, and whipples, with a focus on ventricular drain monitoring and critical post-operative assessments.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients after vascular, general, thoracic, gynecology, neuro, orthopedic, kidney transplants, and whipples surgeries
• Monitor ventricular or ICP drains
• Perform critical post-operative assessments
• Administer vasoactive and sedative drips
• Manage chest tubes and trachs

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a registered nurse
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current CPR certification
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in PACU or ICU
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior ICU and/or high-acuity PACU experience

Schedule

• Rotating shifts
• 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Shift rotation may start at 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, or 1900
