Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $2,114 per week

About the role

Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Peoria, Illinois. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week (12‑hour day shifts).

Responsibilities

• Start IVs (using Lidocaine) and assist with patient admissions.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care in a 22‑bed PACU, maintaining a 1:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio in Phase 1 and 1:2 in Phase 2.
• Utilize computerized charting and medication systems (EPIC).
• Follow hospital‑provided scrubs dress code.
• Complete a 1‑2 day unit‑specific orientation.

Requirements

• Current Illinois RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of two years of pre‑/post‑operative nursing experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in starting IVs with Lidocaine.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced PACU environment.
