Hospital in Colorado is seeking a PACU nurse for a 13-week contract.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care services
- Assist with patient recovery from anesthesia
- Monitor patients for complications
- Document patient care activities accurately
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) Cardiovascular Care Core Competencies
- American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) guidelines
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Qualifications
- Current state nursing license
- Passing scores on ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS exams
