Job Summary

The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) role in Charleston, South Carolina involves providing high-quality post-surgical patient care, evaluating and monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree (APRN) or (RN)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 90 days of employment start date
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification within 90 days of employment start date
• 0 years of experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education regarding peri-operative processes, assisting with patient preparation such as intravenous therapy and preoperative medications, participating in surgical site verification, recognizing and responding to patient emergencies, and documenting patient conditions and care thoroughly.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
