Travel Outpatient Wound Care RN - $3,254 per week

About the role

Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Wound Care for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate wound care for outpatients.
• Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to determine if additional treatments or changes in care are required.
• Educate patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, and pressure ulcer care.
• Cooking and bandaging wounds.
• Coordinate DME and VNA services.

Requirements

• 1 year minimum of experience as an RN.
• Active MA RN License.
• AHA BLS Certification.
• Certification in Wound Care Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Total clinic volume 20-35 patients per day (with 3-4 nurses and 1-2 providers).
• Treatment of wounds that are difficult to heal.

Skills

• Assessing and monitoring wounds.
• Measuring, cleaning and bandaging wounds.
• Working collaboratively with other members of the patient care team.
• Educating patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, and pressure ulcer care.
• Cooking and bandaging wounds.
• Coordination of DME and VNA services.

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Rotating shifts are not required. Outpatient clinic hours are 7:00am-3:30pm.
