Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Deliver safe, efficient pre-op and post-anesthesia (Phase II) care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care
- Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff appropriately
Qualifications
- Required: Active California RN License
- Required: BLS (AHA or ARC)
- Required: ACLS
- Required: PALS
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Outpatient surgery, endoscopy, or perioperative experience strongly preferred
- Experience with: Moderate sedation, Rapid patient turnover, Pre-op care for open heart & total joint patients (highly valued)
