Job Summary
The outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant position is located in ROCKVILLE, Maryland. This role involves supporting physical therapy interventions and assisting licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient care. The position is suitable for candidates with a minimum of one year of outpatient clinical experience and is scheduled to start on July 27, 2026.
Job Details
Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School
CAPTE Certified
1+ Years of Outpatient Clinical Experience
CPR Certification
Active applicable license for the State of Maryland
Minimum 1-year outpatient experience
Minimum 1-year experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in outpatient settings
Excellent patient communication skills
Familiarity with therapeutic modalities
Teamwork-oriented attitude
Additional Information
Implements treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist
Aids in therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance exercises, and functional skills training
Trains patients in locomotion with assistive devices, demonstrates proper use of modalities such as whirlpools, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
Documents patient progress, educates patients and families on body mechanics, and maintains professional and ethical standards
Follows all facility policies on safety, infection control, and patient care
Demonstrates excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
