About the Role
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Bedford, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Qualifications
- Completion of accredited PTA program
- Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- VA PTA licensure/certification
- First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 8 hours, days
- 40 hours per week
Pay
$1,553.06 - $1,601.09 / week
