Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient orthopedic and geriatric position requiring BLS certification and a Louisiana state license.

Details

  • Outpatient physical therapy setting with specialization in orthopedics and geriatrics
  • Approximate daily census of 25 patients split across 2.5 therapists
  • Expected patient visits per day: 8–12
  • Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements

  • Active Louisiana state PT license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA)
  • Less than 2 years of experience will be considered; new graduates are not eligible
  • Experience in orthopedics and/or geriatrics preferred

About the Role

First-time travelers will be considered for this position. Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible. Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process. Upon accepting an assignment, the facility may assign travelers to an emergency response team with an expectation to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team during emergency events.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

13-week contract.
