Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant - $1,589 per week

About the role

A great outpatient facility in Oxon Hill, Maryland is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment starting immediately.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of either Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists.
• Uses physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury.
• Applies techniques such as massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, and ultrasound.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
• Collaborates effectively within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

Requirements

• Earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or actively pursuing licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
• Effectively collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients' goals.
