Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant - $1,458 per week
About the role
A great outpatient clinic in Carbondale, Illinois is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Works under the supervision of either Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists.
- Uses physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury.
- Applies techniques such as massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, and ultrasound.
- Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
- Collaborates effectively within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
Requirements
- Earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or actively pursuing licensure.
- CPR certification.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical therapy and a passion for helping patients recover and regain mobility.
Skills
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.
