Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant - $1,448 per week
About the role
The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist. This role involves assisting in therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patients' long-term goals and fostering a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the implementation of therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, and balance exercises.
- Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
- Demonstrate the use of therapeutic modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and ultrasound.
- Maintain a clean treatment area and sanitize equipment between patient usage.
- Promote safety awareness, adhering to facility guidelines and safety protocols.
- Participate in team conferences and consult with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- CAPTE Certified.
- At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- CPR Certification.
- Active and applicable state licensure.
