About the role

This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective patient rehabilitation. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers. Compliance with the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values, including confidentiality and professional standards, is critical.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and design appropriate treatment plans with specific goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Provide clinical care under valid physician orders and within insurance approval as necessary.
• Participate in student programs, offering mentorship and evaluation.
• Create and follow an individualized professional development plan, pursuing continuing education and professional activities.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and engage with the organization’s performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active licensure in the state where the work will be performed.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is a plus.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.

Schedule

5x8-hour shifts per week (40 hours total).
