About the role

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patients' needs and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration. The Physical Therapist acts as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues, and adheres to professional codes of conduct and the organization’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and set goals.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with physician orders and insurance guidelines.
  • Participate in student programs, providing supervision and evaluation.
  • Engage in professional development and continuing education.
  • Adhere to discipline-specific practice acts and maintain professional licensure.
  • Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  • 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • 6-month contract duration preferred.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule, with a focus on 60-minute evaluations and subsequent 30-minute follow-up sessions.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
