Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist - $1,715 per week

Job Summary

A licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) specializing in outpatient therapy is sought for a travel assignment located in Dover Foxcroft, Maine. This position involves providing outpatient physical therapy services with an emphasis on manual therapy, exercise science, and patient education. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work. The role primarily focuses on outpatient care, but may occasionally include inpatient coverage within the same facility.

Job Details

• Location: Dover Foxcroft, Maine
• Schedule: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Maine State Licensure
• Associate degree or above as a PTA
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Outpatient experience
• Manual therapy skills
• Exercise science knowledge
• Ability to provide patient education on adaptive equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record
• Ability to work with adults and school-aged children, post-orthopedic and post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalances

Additional Information

• Department staffed with 3 physical therapists
• PtAs available virtually
• Supervision available on-site weekdays
• In rare instances, coverage may be required for inpatient care within the same building (one floor apart)
• Orientation period of 2-3 days based on skillset and comfort level
• No weekend rotations or call requirements
• Dress code: Business casual or scrubs in any color, maintaining professionalism

Pay Package
