About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in orthopedic trauma to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will specialize in pre-op and post-op orthopedic procedures, managing both elective and trauma patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for patients undergoing total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and orthopedic trauma procedures.
• Utilize Safe Patient Handling equipment and orthopedic devices.
• Monitor patient condition and administer treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with the use of Rapid Response Teams.
• Maintain EMR documentation using EPIC.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, with a strong background in orthopedic trauma.
• Active RN license required upon submission.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Pass/Fail EKG exam required.
• Experience with patient ratios of 6-7 patients per nurse in a hospital setting.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.

Schedule

• 13-week contract position.
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30).
• Weekend and holiday coverage required.
• 36 hours per week.
