About the role
We are seeking a traveling Orthopedic RN to help patients with musculoskeletal issues including broken or fractured bones, arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacements, and other injuries and diseases. This is a 13-week contract assignment with 3x12-day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assist doctors in providing care for musculoskeletal problems
- Monitor patients’ vital signs
- Help treat injuries with wound dressings or castings
- Get a patient on a pain management schedule
- Assist in administering pain medications and monitoring for reactions and allergies
- Educate patients on how to safely recuperate from surgery or injuries at home
- Help patients improve strength and mobility following the correction of a musculoskeletal issue
- All other responsibilities as needed
Requirements
- Motivated candidates who are looking for career growth
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
- BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
- Critical thinker and fast to act with emergencies
- At least 2 years of work experience

Pay
Pay depends on location and experience. Package includes tax-free stipend amount to be determined for 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week.
