Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing or an Associate's degree Current Montana Registered Nurse Licensure American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification At least 18 months of experience as a Registered Nurse Preferred Qualifications Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) One year of experience as a circulating nurse One year of experience as a scrub nurse Essential Job Functions Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation (Assessment) Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis) Identify expected outcomes for individualized patient care plans Develop plans that prescribe strategies to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care) Implement identified plans of care Employ strategies that promote health and ensure a safe environment Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice Maintain competency that reflects current nursing practices Evaluate personal nursing practice in relation to professional standards Contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues Collaborate with patients, families, and team members in nursing practice Integrate ethical provisions into all areas of nursing practice Incorporate research findings into practice Provide leadership in both the professional practice setting and the nursing profession Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrate sound judgment and maintain a professional demeanor Ability to thrive in a busy and stressful environment Strong problem analysis and decision-making skills Flexibility to work varied shifts Practice tact, discretion, and confidentiality Self-directed and capable of completing assignments accurately with minimal oversight Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills Stroke Competency Comply with policies related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke Participate in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease education within the first year of hire Engage in one hour of annual cerebrovascular disease education Additional Information Variable day shifts are available, and holiday coverage is required.
