Travel OR RN - $2,284 per week

About the Role

Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Operating Room position in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform operating room duties in a fast-paced surgical unit with 11 operating rooms and a staff of 70.
• Work shifts including Days (06:30 AM–7:00 PM), “Swing” (09:00 AM–9:30 PM or 11:00 AM–11:30 PM).
• Participate in on-call rotations (approximately 4-5 shifts per 4 weeks).
• Handle a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
  • THA, Anterior THA, TKA, TSA
  • Lumbar Spine, Cervical Spine
  • Lap Appy, Lap Chole, Hysterectomy
  • Abscess I&D, Amputations, pediatric Dental
  • CABG, AVR/MVR, Mastectomy

Requirements

• Active RN license (Alaska permanent license required to submit).
• Must clear state background and fingerprint process prior to starting the assignment.
• Experience in Orthopedics and Neuro surgery (required).
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required).
• Preferred experience in:
  • Davinci XI, Vascular, ENT, General, and CV Surgery.

• Shift Details:
  • Day Shift: 13 RN, 13 Surg Tech, 1 Charge RN, 3-5 Surgical Support Tech, 1-2 Anes. Tech
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 1 Surg Tech
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• EMR: EPIC
• Weekend Requirements: On-call, possible scheduled shifts as unit requires.
