About the role

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Operating Room assignment in Charleston, West Virginia. The assignment lasts approximately 13.14 weeks, starting October 15, 2026, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub in the operating room.
• Perform vascular, orthopedic, general, ENT, urology, robotics, and GYN procedures.
• Proficiency in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting.
• Perform surgeries such as coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), aortic aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, thyroidectomy, total joint replacement, and related cases.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year in‑specialty (OR) experience.
• Cardiac and general surgery case experience required.
• Preferred: previous charge experience and charting system experience (Cerner).
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) via American Heart Association; ACLS and PALS if required by the unit.
• Licensure: West Virginia or Compact RN license; pending license accepted for submission.
• References: Minimum 2 manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years.
• Travel: Permanent address >100 miles from facility (75‑100 miles considered case‑by‑case).
• Vaccination: Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted); COVID‑19 vaccine not required.
