About the role
The Operating Room Registered Nurse will provide care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN will be responsible for both circulating and scrubbing in surgeries. The position requires on-call availability and rotating weekend shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with surgical procedures as a scrub or circulating nurse.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during surgery.
- Prepare surgical instruments and ensure a sterile environment.
- Communicate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain documentation in the electronic health records (EPIC).
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience strongly preferred.
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
- Current certifications in BLS.
- A Radiation Badge provided by the agency is required.
- Scrub experience is highly preferred.
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 3x12-Hour Days (06:30 AM - 07:00 PM)
- 13-week contract position
- On-call availability and rotating weekend shifts as needed
