About the role

The Clinical Nurse, WakeMed Travel Staffing, provides comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families, implementing a care plan based on patient needs as assessed through physical, psychological, socioeconomic, and medical factors.

Responsibilities

• Implement a plan of care based on patient needs
• Support the mission, values, and management of patient care services
• Understand and support the PFCC model, focusing on dignity and respect, information sharing, participation, and collaboration
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring complete and unbiased information is shared
• Collaborate with patients and families in the delivery of care and decision-making
• Work across all WakeMed locations to provide high-quality care

Requirements

• Licensure: Registered Nurse
• Education: Diploma Nursing required, Associate's Degree Nursing preferred, Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience required

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice
• Knowledge of North Carolina Board of Nursing Practice Act
• Understanding of WakeMed's Division of Nursing Professional Practice model
• Knowledge of WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model

Skills

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and families
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
