The role requires advanced operating room skills, strong sterile technique, and the ability to support complex surgical cases across multiple service lines. Job Details Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification; National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification; active New York license in hand at submission; three years of surgical technologist experience. Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel assignment experience; experience with Trauma Level II cases; experience using Epic charting. Schedule: Evening shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Call: Six call shifts during each eight-week scheduling period, including weekends and holidays. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: The role supports approximately 4060 surgical cases daily across 13 operating rooms and 12 service lines. Clinical responsibilities include preparation and support of general, vascular, orthopedic, neurological, gynecological, urological, otolaryngological, thoracic, colorectal, and robotic procedures; aseptic technique; decontamination and sterilization processes; surgical specimen handling and labeling; sharps safety; management or lead functions; and adherence to the Universal Protocol time-out procedure. Relevant procedural experience includes laparoscopic-assisted cases, open and laparoscopic colon resections, aortic aneurysm repair, carotid procedures, spinal fusion, total hip and knee replacement, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, ureteroscopy, tracheostomy, and Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS).
