Travel Operating Room Technologist - $1,710 per week

About the Role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel Surgical Technician for a healthcare facility in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. This role involves supporting the surgical team by preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, assisting during surgeries, and ensuring safety and sterilization protocols are followed. The position requires flexibility to stay past scheduled hours to support ongoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Setting up sterile equipment
• Assisting during surgeries across multiple service lines including Orthopedics, ENT, Thoracic, Neuro Spine, Eyes, General, Gynecology, and Urology
• Assisting with patient prep, specimen handling, and cleanup
• Ensuring all medications are prepared and administered according to policies
• Supporting a safe and sterile environment through continual alertness and proper aseptic technique
• Helping transfer patients to recovery and restocking operating rooms as needed
• Staying past scheduled hours to finish cases if more than one operating room is still running

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC)
• 2 years of experience
• Flexibility with schedule
• Availability for 3 days of 12-hour shifts, with shift hours from 6:30 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday
• Call availability from 7 pm to 6:30 am five days every 12-week period

Schedule

Days, Mids, Nights, Rotating: 6:30 am – 7 pm, Monday – Friday, no set days.

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
