Travel Operating Room RN - $2,779 per week

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Ithaca, New York.

Responsibilities

• Offer surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• Serve as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field as a circulating OR nurse.
• Handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field as a scrub OR nurse.

Requirements

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Active RN License.
• BLS & ACLS Certifications.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Previous experience as a circulating OR nurse or scrub OR nurse.

Skills

Necessary skills include:

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
• Proficiency in operating room equipment and supplies.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
