Travel Operating Room RN - $2,646 per week

About the role

Malone Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN for a position in the Operating Room (OR) department in Wausau, Wisconsin. The position is part of a 13-week contract starting July 20, 2026, with 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and variable start times.

Responsibilities

• Perform general surgery, gynecology, urology, plastics, ENT, gastrointestinal (GI), and trauma level II procedures.
• Work in a high-volume environment with up to 45 cases per day.
• Manage downtime tasks as needed.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Requirements

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
• At least 5 years of OR experience, preferably from a larger facility with comparable ORs.
• Circulate and scrub experience preferred, with a preference for DaVinci robotic experience and trauma level II experience.
• Must have their own vehicle and be prepared to use it for on-call responsibilities.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing to work low census hours and be available for call-backs.
• Must comply with Aspirus' flu and COVID vaccination policies.
