About the role
GTT Healthcare Staffing Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment starting July 26, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and sterile equipment for procedures.
- Auxiliary surgeons and the surgical team while maintaining a sterile environment.
- Maintain patient status throughout surgery and respond promptly to any changes.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed.
- Accurately document patient care, surgical procedures, and perioperative records.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care.
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Experience in OR setting preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control practices.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
