About the role
Operating Room Nurse (RN) position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative care within the operating room environment, supporting a busy surgical unit with a focus on safety and efficient clinical practices.
Responsibilities
- Preparing OR suites for surgery
- Assisting with robotic-assisted procedures (Mako, Rosa, DaVinci Xi)
- Maintaining patient safety and ensuring compliance with clinical standards
- Proficiency in orthopedic surgeries, including Total Joints, general surgery, and Spine procedures
Requirements
- Active Iowa or multistate Compact Nurse Licensure
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Proficiency in EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Minimum of 24 months current operating room experience, including experience with Mako or Rosa robotic systems, DaVinci Xi, and orthopedic surgeries involving Total Joints
- Proficient in general and spine surgeries within the previous 12 months
- Scrub experience desirable
- Valid driver’s license
- References from within the last 24 months
- Travel experience within the previous 15 months preferred
Schedule
- 10-hour shifts, rotating schedule
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
