This role involves providing specialized perioperative patient care within a dynamic surgical environment. The position offers a full-time schedule, with a focus on ensuring optimal patient outcomes through adherence to unit protocols and collaborative teamwork. Job Details Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: Current hospital acute care nursing experience of at least 1 year, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, candidates with circulating and scrubbing experience, Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech, circulating and scrubbing skills, familiarity with standard OR equipment, and procedures such as angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spinal surgeries Additional Information: The unit is a 408-bed hospital with a main operating room comprising 14 standard ORs, including specialized facilities like hybrid cardiovascular OR and cystoscopy suite. Staff includes OR RNs, Certified Surgical Technicians (CST), and clinical coordinators, with patient ratios of 1:1. On-call duties involve two 12-hour shifts per month and several evening call shifts. The unit prioritizes patient experience, effective communication, adaptability, and the use of modern equipment and technology.
