Job Description

Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Requirements

• BLS Required
• ACLS Preferred
• PALS Required for PACU assignments
• Strong Operating Room background preferred
• RN scrubbing experience is a plus, but not required
• Leadership & Support: Dedicated Charge Nurse manages the OR board
• Documentation: Epic EMR
• Scheduling: Various shift options based on department needs
• Specific shift assigned during the prescreen process
• Scheduling requests are considered if submitted before scheduling
• Block scheduling may be accommodated if staffing allows
• Call Requirements: Rotating weekday call schedule, approximately 1–2 weekend call rotations every 6-week schedule
• Response Time: 30-minute response time
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday coverage is assigned through the call rotation
• Floating: May float based on competency to: General OREndoscopyVascularUrologyGynecologyOrthopedicsCardiac service (if experienced)

Average Daily Surgical Volume: 60–70 cases

Call Requirements

• Weekday Call: Rotating weekday call schedule, 2–3 shifts per week
• Weekend Call: Every 4th–5th weekend, 3–4 call shifts
• Call Times: Evening Call: 6:45 PM – 11:15 PM, General OR first call: 7:15 PM – 10:45 PM, Midnight call: 10:45 PM – 6:45 AM (usually covered by core staff)

Holiday coverage is assigned through the call rotation
