Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The role provides specialized perioperative nursing care in a 3-bed surgical unit serving all ages, supporting surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care during surgeries. Start date: October 6, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Pre‑operative preparation
• Intraoperative care
• Post‑operative recovery support for patients of all ages
• Supporting surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare teams
• Willingness to work every other weekend or as needed
• Approximately 10‑11 days of call per month (if two staff are scheduled), potentially increasing to 15‑16 days if staffing is limited

Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Healthcare‑specific RN licensure for New Mexico
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience in an OR setting (preferred)
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility
• Must have current required certifications at the time of submission

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
