Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,216 per week

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Margate, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Staffing rooms with 1 tech and 1 RN or 2 RNs based on patient ratios.
• Performing procedures including joint replacement, ENT, ortho, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery.
• Assisting with robotic surgeries as needed.
• Documenting patient care using Meditech.
• Working 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, days.
• Participating in on-call rotations, including 1-2 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift every 4 weeks.
• Scrubbing and circulating for various surgical services.
• Rotating weekends may be possible.

Requirements

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Two years of current experience in an acute OR setting, with orthopedic, spine, and joint replacement experience.
• Experience with knee and hip replacements.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Ability to scrub and circulate for various surgical services.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in charting and multi-tasking.
• Excellent bedside manner.

Skills

• Knowledge of robotics, spine, and vascular procedures.
• Experience with Spine, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery.
