Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $1,885 per week

About the Role

Operating Room Registered Nurse in Hermiston, Oregon. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in the surgical environment. The RN will assist with patient preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessments
• Provide intraoperative support
• Deliver post-operative care
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure seamless perioperative care
• Adhere to safety protocols in an environment with exposure to infectious materials and medical equipment

Strong assessment, critical thinking skills, and excellent communication are required. The role involves physical lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional patient transfers, and continuous movement throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current, unrestricted Oregon and Washington Registered Nurse licenses
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• CRASE training
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including surgical care
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice and quality improvement methodologies
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse population

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• PALS certification
• Specialty certification relevant to the operating room (e.g., CNOR)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Schedule

Days shift from 08:00 AM to 06:30 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week (10-hour shifts, 30 hours per week).

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 30 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
