Travel Oncology RN - $2,513 per week

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a 13‑week assignment in New Haven, Connecticut, starting October 9, 2026. The position requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour shifts and involves providing oncology care, administering chemotherapy, educating patients, and supporting patients throughout their cancer treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, focusing on the acute phase.
• Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing disease and treatment, including administering chemotherapy.
• Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and particularities of the disease.
• Administer chemotherapy.
• Implement new methods of symptom treatment.
• Monitor patients’ progress.
• Create a supportive environment for patients and families.
• May opt to specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Oncology setting
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility
