Travel Oncology Registered Nurse - $2,074 per week

Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing position. We're seeking talented healthcare professionals whose adventure game is as strong as their clinical game. Those that want flexibility and high pay, we have the positions for you!

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing.
• Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
• Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice.
• Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
• Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
• Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
• Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.
• Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
• Assists Nursing Supervisor/Coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
• Passion for Oncology.
• Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
• Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
• Multicultural sensitivity.
• Critical thinking skills using independent judgement in making decisions.
• Maintain confidential information.
• Ability to communicate only the facts to recipients or to decline to reveal information.
• Ability to project a professional, friendly, helpful demeanor.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
• Chemo/Biotherapy cert

Education

Required: ASN. Preferred: BSN.
