About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a 16-week assignment starting on November 30, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation treatments under the supervision of a physician
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort during procedures
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and report any adverse effects to the supervising physician
- Document all patient treatments and interactions accurately
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Radiation Therapist in the state of Iowa
- Experience in providing radiation therapy services
- Knowledge of radiation oncology principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Passing scores on relevant licensing exams

Pay
The pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
