Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant – Long Term Care - $1,416 per week
About the role
TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) for a position in Potosi, Missouri. This is a 13-week assignment working 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day shift. The role requires 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is also required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments
- Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment
- Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care
- Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards
Requirements
- BLS
- NBCOT (COTA)
- 2 Years of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Qualifications
- Current BLS and COTA National certification
- State-specific licensure required
- Ability to lift and assist patients safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles
