About the role
TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) for a position in Oregon, Missouri. This is a 13-week, 40-hour-per-week opportunity with 8-hour shifts. The role requires 1 year of experience as an OTA and a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is also required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
- Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
- Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
- Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
Requirements
- BLS
- NBCOT (COTA)
- 2 Years of experience as an OTA
Qualifications
- Current BLS and COTA National certification
- State-specific licensure required
- Ability to lift and assist patients safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles
