About the role

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) providing therapy services under supervision to support patient recovery and independence.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions based on treatment plans.
• Monitor and report patient progress to supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Document patient performance accurately and timely.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and adaptive equipment use.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to enhance daily living skills.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, facility, and professional standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification.
• State-specific licensure required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
